The Andrea Grace Soter-Simonson Memorial Foundation provides direct financial assistance to Ventura County families so they can focus on healing instead of financial stress.
Our grants and grant process are designed to offer immediate relief during one of the most difficult moments a family can face.

HOW TO APPLY
A simple process to request help when you need it most.
PROCESS TIMELINE
We receive your application.
Verification
Verification of need. Our team contacts your medical provider (and nurse navigator, if applicable) to confirm need, treatment, and diagnosis.
Review
Our executive director and board of directors review your application.
Grants are limited and based on available funds.
Assistance is typically provided once per calendar year for a maximum of 3 lifetime.
You will be notified once a decision is made.
Confirmation
Typical review time: approximately 1–2 weeks.
If approved, a check is sent to the grant applicant via mail.

Grant Applicant Qualifications
Applicant eligibility:
We assist individuals of all ages and backgrounds, including children, seniors, agricultural workers, and those with limited income or support systems.
WHAT THE GRANT CAN HELP WITH
Assistance for essential daily needs while you focus on healing.
Our grants have been used for:
Groceries and nutrition
Utility bills
Rent or housing expenses
Transportation to treatment appointments
Medical bills, insurance, co-pays
Medical devices
End of life care
These grants are intended to relieve immediate financial pressure and provide stability while you focus on care and recovery.
